Never used them either....I also bit my daughters nails. I think I read somewhere not to do this, that you can tear the nail bed and bacteria from your mouth can cause infection...but I always did and probably still will
My one daughter did gouge her face really bad when she was a few months old...bled like a stuck pig It healed and didn't scar though thank goodness. I also used breastmilk on it and it healed right up!
I just remembered this.....most newborns nails are paper thin and flimsy. Someone told me they bit the nails instead of clipping. At the time I thought she was nuts and said I woul never do it. Well in the end I ended up doing it because the clippers and flie were such a pain.
