Here is a quick story of my daughter Parker. Great baby-very energetic-perfect in every way, buuuutttt-she isn't the best sleeper, nor is she the best eater. We have "sleep trained" Parker since she was 4-5 months old. Put her down awake for naps and bedtime, do the whole check and console, follow a bedtime routine, and she has a very early bedtime (6:30-7:00 pm) She will get into a routine and follow it very well, but then teething happens, or she get's sick and the whole sleeping through the night goes out the door and her napping becomes inconsistent. She still get's up once or twice at night for an 7 oz bottle and downs it. Should I try to wean her of this bottle feeding at night? I'm worried because she isn't a big solid eater during the day. She eats solids, but not a good amount in my opinion. Therefore, I worry she is making up for the lack of food during the day but wanting that bottle at night. Also, since she is going to bed at 6:30-7 at night I find it slightly ok that she needs to wake up at 3:00 am for a bottle. Any thoughts mommies?
7 PM - 3 AM is sleeping through the night so I would think it was alright for a midnight snack. =) Winter Rose will go to bed around 9-10. Wakes up at 3--again, STTN, nurses, wakes up at 6, nurses, and then she is up at 8 for the day. The reason I nurse her at 6 right now is because I pull her into my bed and go to sleep doing it. lol
