Does your LO ever have major crying fits??? Summer has one every now and then. Usually it's because of gas and a little gripe water makes her 100% better. Until today... I took her over a friends house and she had the biggest fit ever. I felt horrible. She was crying and crying like she was in pain. I tried everything and nothing would get her to stop. Finally I packed her up and left to head to my mothers in hopes she could help. About 2 blocks and she was out. I hadn't thought of her being tired because she had just napped but maybe that was it? I also considered the fact that my friend had tons of candles burning and while it smelled amazing Summer isn't really used to that so maybe it was even that? Who knows I'm just thankful she's stopped and is ok.

So what do you do when you feel like there is nothing else left to do??

Pippa rarely ever cries. She fake coughs when she's hungry. The only time she will cry is if we are in the car, and I am not sitting beside her, entertaining her.

However, with Jessie, I was in the trenches with the crying thing. There were times nothing worked, and I simply cried with her.

Cry with them! I just got done bawling my eyes out to the nurse and Dr. I rarely cry, but I just can't stand to see him in pain! (and for almost a week now off and on. night and day)
I should start a new thread maybe, instead of rambling here. But I got AJ's 2nd stool sample, and started bf again, and a few hours later he was in horrible pain! His eyes actually looked weird from screaming so hard. Then the nurse had the nerve to ask me if he's only like that when he's hungry? The last I had any dairy was on Tues., so I thought the worst would be out of me.
As far as your question, I don't have any answers for you.. although I hope it's a once and done thing. And sometimes they can get pretty worked up if they are overtired.

I put him in his crib and take a few minutes to gather myself where I can't hear him, and start going through everything again - he does this maybe once every 2 weeks so not often. Eventually he just falls asleep. It happens usually when he's super tired to begin with.

Cora does occasionally when she is seriously tired. I've noticed when we are at parties (like around christmas) She won't take a good nap and then she'll get over tired and freak out. Going home set her right. She just needed a little quiet.

E has three different cries. If he's hungry, tired or has a poopy diaper. When he has his fits that just won't stop it's usually cause he's tired. So I just do my best to get him to sleep. Sometimes I'm going nuts with him. Kev was a major crier and I would just let him cry until I found out he had an umbilical hernia. From that point on I would just pick him up and try to console him best I could.

So, the other day at Walmart, Taryn and I went down the candle aisle and I would have her sniff some of the more mild candles. At first, she loved it, then I gave her one and she screamed bloody murder *laughs* Sooooo, you could be right about the candles.

As for crying fits, not really ever. I think her longest crying fit was after the Dr was digging in her ear at her last appointment.

We just went through 3 weeks straight of random screaming bloody murder rampages....but hers was due to a sleep regression. Some days it would last all day long...then just was at nap time.

Today is the 1st day in weeks that she's napped longer than 15 minutes at a time, so I'm praying the regression is now over!

Walking around with her has never not worked for us.

Michaela gets like this when she is overtired or scared. I took her and Daniel to my aunt's house on Saturday for a visit and she cried when my aunt was holding her, I felt so bad because my aunt loves babies, but I think she just didn't like her voice.
