Calla was born over 8 weeks ago on Halloween and I've never stopped bleeding. At my 6 week appt my doctor told me its not a big deal and to wait at least 3 more weeks. The last week I've started to feel really fatigued and tired, eventhough Calla has started sleeping for 7 hours straight each night.

Has anyone else bleed this long? Did you doctor show any concern, unlike mine?

I'd get a 2nd opinion. That sounds like a long time to me, especially since you're feeling weak.

I'll let you know tomorrow, I've got my six week visit in the afternoon and I've still been bleeding/discharge off and on, too.

I think it'd depend on how much bleeding as well. I know women can bleed for a very long time, but it's usually not a lot of bleeding. If you're bleeding like the first couple days of a regular period for that long, I'd probably get a second opinion. If you're soaking through pads in a short amount of time, that's really bad.

I know I bled for a good 5 weeks and then started my period for a little over a week. it was light and weird but i was still bleeding. Is is possible you bled pp for 6 weeks and have been having a period for the last two?

I was thinking the same thing. It is a long time for postpartum bleeding. I think at the most, I went 5 - 6 weeks with my first. I would probably follow up with the doctor if it keeps going. And in the meantime, I would take iron supplements, especially since you are getting run down.
