I joined this due date club back in october, a little late in the game. I lurked a lot I suppose but things started to get familiar.
Anywho, I had to be induced at 41 weeks. I was in intense labor for 2 days. I stayed at 1cm for what seemed like FOREVER and the contractions were very strong. I ended up taking morphine/gravol to get through the night. I was reluctant for a few hours though. I woke up in pain again the next morning, I was checked still only 1cm, took some more morphine and they inserted something to make the cervix dilate but stronger. I was at 5 within hours. I used no pain medication because I thought I was getting close. Soon the contractions were back to back, and I was on the pitocin drip at full blast and stayed at 5cm for hours. My body would not budge. I used laughing gas to get through the pain. I was not going to get an epidural and I was exhausted. Soon the dr told me I had been at 5 cm for about 3 hours and said sometimes when people get an epidural they can go right to a 10. I was a bit reluctant but that happened to my mom with her last kid (true story actually) and so I thought let's give it a go. 2 hours after that an obstetrician comes to see me. Decides for mine and the babies safety its best to get a c section. I agree, but was upset after 2 days and getting to 5 cm I really thought it was going to happen... medically induced naturally? lol.
Anywhos anyone who's had a c section can tell you it's weird. We we're in the hospital until Christmas Day. I stopped taking any kind of tylenol or anything days ago and I feel great, physically, emotionally. Everything I also got my placenta encapsulated so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it.

Also, relieving news from the obstetrician once the surgery was over that he never was going to fit the natural way. I don't regret going into labor though. He still has a little ring around his head where he was getting stuck? I guess. He was 21 and 1/2 inches long 9lbs 5oz
