Did you start itching really bad down there? The last day that area has been burning and itching. I know itching can be part of healing, but didn't know if that held true for this area too, or if I have a yeast infection. I'm 3 weeks pp.

Yeah, after about 2-3 weeks, it started getting itchy down there. It really sucked, I was terrified of ripping them open, so it took everything in me to refrain from scratching them (I was so afraid of ripping them open, that I tried to not poo while I still had them.. it didn't work of course. I was only able to hold it in for a week and a half, maybe two weeks.. lol. I know, I know, tmi.) Your itchiness is probly just healing, not a yeast infection.

I think mine are totally healed now, but yes, its a normal part of healing! Last week it was itching like CRAZY down there! But now it's all better and I feel back to normal.

That's what I was thinking! lol

As for the itching, my c-section incision was SO itchy last week...I was scratching like MAD all around it and gave myself quite a painful, dry patch around the whole thing. It's just the healing...yeast infections are less common while still bleeding because it's sort of a cleansing out anyway. If it smells funky or your discharge has a funny look to it you should ask your OB/MW but it's probably just the healing. Hope it stops soon...when do these stitches dissolve?! Ugh!

It was actually more painful cuz the stitches werent completely healed yet.. I have never been "regular, and sometimes only go about once a week anyway.

Same here 3wks pp and they itch and burn. I'll be so happy when they all dissolve. All that remains is one and a knot.

I know he gave me stitches (I watched him do it)...but I haven't been able to feel them. I have no idea if they have dissolved or not. Sometimes it was mildly itchy but not so bad....

Yah I was terrified to go. And I had to go really bad the night I delivered. I even called the nurse and asked her if it was okay or if I needed to do anything special because I was so scared.
Luckily it was very easy and didnt hurt. The wiping did

Thanks, ladies

I'm loading up on hydrocortisone cream and it's been helping. It does smell, but I think it's just from the bleeding.
