I know there were a few of you who developed umbilical hernias, or suspected you had, during the pregnancy... how are they faring now?

Mine sunk back down immediately, although you can still see it bulging down in there. I have a dull ache a lot of the time from it, and bad pain when I cough or sneeze (didn't have that at all while my uterus was protecting it.) I have to remind myself to be careful lifting and such, I usually don't think about it until I've lugged on something and make it hurt!

Had my 6 week appointment today and got the all clear on my incision, so I think I'll start wearing spanx, or at least get a belly band to help support the hernia. The doctor says it's pointless to talk surgery if we're thinking about trying for baby #2 in the summer, so looks like I'll be with this for a while.
