I have sort of been MIA. That's because Kyah has been sick. This is day 3. She is very congested with thick, clear phlegm. She has been staying up all night and getting her sleep in during the day in small spurts. Luckily, she has not had a fever. Starting today she has been refusing to nurse. It has been very difficult trying to get her to nurse at all. I have been engorged due to this. It has been very stressful. She is also suddenly hating her warm bubble baths. I have tried a vaporizer, vapor rub, steamy bathroom, and nothing is working very well. If anybody has any suggestions I would love to hear them.
I know I haven't been on the board much the past couple of days but this is why. Please pray my baby girl gets well very soon.
I'll pray she's better soon. Poor baby Kylie has had a cold but it hasn't been bad thankfully. I've done mostly what you've already mentioned- humidifier, Vicks (they have a plug in that fills the room with the smell, saline spray/drops.
Thank you very much, ladies! She has a doctor appointment in the morning. She is still very congested but is back to nursing again (thank goodness). She just can't nurse long without having to stop and get deep breaths. And I have been using our aspirator faithfully. I just hate when babies are sick They are so pitiful and it is so sad.
Oh goodness Michelle I'm so sorry! I know its never fun having a sick baby! I pray Kaya gets better real soon! Hopefully her doc can help with something to give her or do for her! Your both in my thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery!
