Im mixing - part formula, part pumping
Not what I planned - I had hoped she would eat straight from the boob. My milk took a really long time to come in and then when it did she was such a string sucker that I can't take the pain!
I'm not really happy with how it's going because I expected that my giant boobs would do the job when the time came. It doesn't bother me to give her some formula so daddy can help and we have more flexibility but I would like to have had more control.

I'm EBF, but I do pump to relieve the pressure sometimes since Willa doesn't nurse as much as my ladies need. I try to give her a bottle of expressed BM 1-3 times per week in order to try to get her used to taking the bottle. THIS is not going so great, but it will improve out of necessity if nothing else when I return to work.

This is what I planned and it's overall going well. I didn't expect that she would be such a sporadic nurser, which has in turn caused me already to deal with one clogged duct (yuck) - something which I didn't get until 11 months with DD1.

How are you feeding your baby (breastfeeding/formula/pumping)? pumping as much as i can, supplementing with formula

Is it what you had planned during pregnancy? Not as i 'planned' but pretty close to what I expected...

Are you ok with how things are going? Not really but I am trying to accept it

Any surprises? no, not really

Are you ok with how things are going? Yes, I had to use a nipple shield to begin with and am still using it sometimes but am now confident of feeding him without it finally!
Any surprises? That he wouldn't latch on to begin with but it all worked out perfectly!

Are you ok with how things are going? Yes. Though we've tried to give her bottles a couple times and she will take it....eventually, and not really from me. My boys went back and forth really easily and she just doesn't.
Any surprises? I'm suprised with how well she's doing with it. I supplemented both boys from day one and planned on doing it with her as well but haven't. When I saw how much weight she had gained and what a porker she is, it makes me proud in a weird way. But I AM stressed about how long she is going to bf for. Both boys were off by 7 monthes and I don't think she will be. I'm a little stressed about how i'm going to pull it off for longer than that. And the fact that she has a hard time taking a bottle stresses me out. But oh well.

Are you okay with how things are going? Kinda. We're having a real hard time finding a bottle she likes. She seems to only like those disposable bottles that the hospital gives you.
Any surprises? I didn't think it would be so hard to get her on a different bottle.
