We are venturing out of town for the first time with Samantha tomorrow. Not a big thing but we are going for the day to see my sister & nephews to celebrate my sister's birthday.
Even though we're only going to her house for a few hours and then out to dinner this is going to be an experience.
I'm going to try to get the diaper bag and stuff ready tonight or we'll never leave on time.
As it is I feel like I need to make a list of what I need to pack and take. How ridiculous is that

Anyone else taken their first out of town trip?
How much stuff did you take and did you really need it all?

At two weeks we went to NJ for his photos & then went to see my grandfather (about an hour away). I was so completely nervous...but it worked out just fine And we totally overpacked - but part of that was because we didn't know what to bring to the shoot. I think the key players are: diapers, wipes, ointment, extra outfits in ziplock bags (if you need the extra outfit, you need something to put the dirty one in) & I guess formula if you're using it.

We have been doing trips since week two. And yes, the first time I took way too much stuff! The second time I forgot the diaper bag all together. Good luck, lol.

We went to Beaumont (6 hours away for Christmas) and stayed for three days. I just took clothes, diapers, wipes, ointment and that's about it. It didn't go bad at all. It was harder on me than it was on her

We are driving from Tennessee to Michigan at the end of the month. The only thing baby really needs is diapers, wipes, ointment and clothes and of course whatever you need to feed the baby.

We're taking her on her first trip down to DH's parents (3.5 hour drive) at the end of the month. I have no idea what I all need to take, but I'm sure I'll end up overpacking. I just hope the drive goes well!

Well it went good. She slept the whole way there and the whole way home pretty much. I had to lean over her car seat to hold her bottle for a little bit on the way home.
I did over pack I took way too many bottle and way too much formula. But thats okay better than not enough.

I know that my overpacking is really gonna happen in June when we go to CA for 5 days.
