No, never ever put the infant car seat at the top of a cart! Babies have died from the cart toppling over. Yes, people do it, but they just dont know better. Hopefully more awareness will go out about this over FB and such but yeah, dont do it.
Seriously, guys.... Get a good baby carrier (many of us have been saying this for months now lol). I use the Moby wrap. I put him in it, he sleeps the whole time, shopping is not an issue at all. It's the only way I can keep up with two little girls and shop anywhere or really go anywhere at all. When he outgrows the Moby, he is going in the Ergo. He hates his carseat, too, so that is out of the question anyway, haha. I do this until they are about 18 mos old, then I teach them to sit in the cart.
thanks for posting this! I had always locked the carseat into the top of the cart as well. I had no idea about anything like it shifting the center of gravity. but that is completely logical reading it! Since grocery shopping with all 3 kiddos is NOT going to happen anymore (THANK GOD!) (I will NOT be bringing 3 kids under 3 into the store with me....) I won't be doing this. But if there ever was a case where it was judt me and Vi, this is good to know - I had been doing this for quite some time unaware!
