I was monitored for IUGR, but baby had a growth spurt just before he was born at 34 weeks (yay for lots of protein!), so he ended up a bit above the 10th percentile at 4 lbs. 7 oz. His placenta was half the size it should have been and was prematurely aged.

They never said it was that but they did a csection at 34 weeks because lorelei wasn't growing fast enough. She was 4lbs 1oz.

Any other problems since? Are your babies being monitored still?

Sadly lorelei is still having growth problems. At three months old she is only up to 7 lbs 14 oz which is below the 3rd percentile line on the chart. She is also below on length and head circumference. For now they are just watching her since she is growing steadily just not as fast as they want her to

Tristan is doing great. He's gaining really well! He wasn't on the charts yet for his actual age as of two weeks ago, but he's holding his own curve and is fine for adjusted age. Aside from some issues at birth due to his prematurity, he hasn't had any other issues. Our neighbors also had a growth restricted baby who was 4 lbs. 4 oz. at birth at 39 weeks, and she's also doing really well with no lingering issues.

I had IUGR which my OB thinks was caused by my prematurely aging placenta. I was induced at 38 1/2 weeks. Samantha was born at 6lbs 4oz.

Samantha did have issues at first. She lost 9% of her birth weight in first 2 days and normal only allows 10% in first week. So I had to supplement with formula until my milk came in and had to go in for weight check every couple days. Between the formula and then once my milk came in she started gaining great. She is 7 weeks tomorrow and doing great now, up to 8lbs 5oz,and gained 18oz in like 15 days last time we saw the Ped 2 weeks ago.
