Sorry guys...,its been pretty nuts here. Without going into details, life has been less than great. Flu running rampant in the house. Got lucky and the baby didn't get it.
Anyway, I'm ok. I'm in process of switching bottles because out of the blur my dr. Browns started leaking really bad. I'm nervous Isabel won't adapt to the new nipple. It's the playtex nurser with the wider nipple. She can't seem to latch properly because she won't put the nipple in far enough since she's used to the standard nipple. Any suggestions on how to help her along?
How is everyone else? Hopefully the babies are all well. And of course, the mommas.
Hi Kristie!!! Glad to "see" you here! I actually tried switching Akadia from the wide mouth nipples on her Avent Natural bottles to the Dr. Browns and it just wasn't working for us. I had her on the wide mouth nips because originally I had planned to nurse longer and they mimic that better. Guess we are stuck with it now. When I first was getting her used to those bottles though, I always had to pull her chin down to help her latch on. It helped her open her mouth wider and I would kind of twist the bottle a little and push up to get her upper lip to open up wider. Hope she will take it for you!
