Finger foods? Yes. She prefers chewing her food instead of purees. I do try to give her both but sometimes it can be a struggle. She eats what I eat. However, if it is way too hard for her to swallow such as meats, or broccoli stuff like that I puree it. Cooked carrots, noodles, cucumber, banana, apple, squash, green beans, peas, yogurt, toast, ect she eats as is.
Baby Food? I puree her baby food. Things she can't muck on as easily gets pureed. She eats about 2-3 times a day depending on her mood.
How much Formula? I do both breastfeeding and formula. She is a little eater. She will eat about 2-3 oz when she has formula, occasionally I can get her to eat 4oz but that's far and inbetween. Nursing I'm not sure her intake.
Addy eats purees still, she doesn't seem to get the "chewing" yet, I have given her these little soft cookies I found (Ella's Kitchen) that she holds and gnaws on, but if she gets a little piece in her mouth, she spits it out instead of chewing and swallowing.
She LOVES almost any of the purees, she eats all veggies she has tried except squash and she likes all fruits except peaches. She is eating the meat/veggie/starch combos as well. She also dislikes oatmeal (she is so my child...lol). She is eating 2 meals a day (lunch and dinner).
As for formula, she gets about 5 bottles in a day, anywhere from 4-6 oz, depending on the time of day.
Tristan eats a mix of everything. If something I prepared for our family fits his needs, I give it to him either pureed either in little pieces. My goal is to have him on family menu by 9 month. I stopped using salt in meals when cooking we just add it later.
Evan is eating about 3 jars of baby food (a mix of Stage 2, 2 1/2, & 3) & about 24 oz formula (4-6oz at a time) per day. I just started the "finger foods" about 2 weeks ago. I'm feeding him the Gerber cereal puffs. He's doing really well so far. I also feed him little bits of our food if it's soft enough; which he loves! Especially ice cream! LOL
Raini has 6 teeth now and eats just about anything. She loves fresh green beans, not mushed, whole green beans, she picks them up and chews like a champ. I also give her cooked baby carrots and potatoes.
She eats baby food for breakfast, usually a fruit and a veggie sometimes just a fruit depending on her mood, stage 2 jars.
Any other time she wants what we're eating, so I try to make a veggie for her.
She hasnt had any meat yet, not even in puree form...
for snacks, she likes multigrain cheerios, cheetos, and crackers.
Her formula intake has gone down alot, she may drink 3 bottles a day 8 oz each. usually before nap/bed times.
