I've had ewcm the last two days, so it looks like my body is getting ready to ovulate, which of course means AF is getting ready to return from her now 11 month hiatus. I know having ewcm doesn't guarantee I'll ovulate, but I'm preparing myself just in case. I was so hoping I'd be one of those women who didn't have a return of fertility until I weaned. Bummer.

Have you had a postpartum AF yet?

I got it 11 weeks PP, but we're now at 15 weeks and it hasn't come again, so I suspect we may be going back to my natural screwed up cycle because of the PCOS. I totally didn't expect it, and thought I'd have more time since we're EBF. Oh well!

Not yet...I don't expect to either. With my other three I didn't get it back until after they fully weaned at a year.
Pretty funny story: I went almost four years with out having a period. Got pregnant with DD2, breastfed for a year, then got pregnant with DD3 with the first postpartum egg, and then breastfed her for a year.

Ive gotten a lot of discharge lately. Had it a lot when I nursed my second, too, but it didnt show up until 15 mos PP. It might not be EWCM. When BFing, your hormones go all kinds of crazy! Hopefully you wont get it anytime soon.

I hope that's what happens for me, Hilary!

One of the major reasons I chose to bf is to delay the return of AF. I know it's selfish, but with my endo AF is brutal

I don't remember how many weeks pp I was when I got my period, but I just got over my second period since Aubree was born. The first period lasted almost two weeks! And it was pretty heavy, I've never had to use super plus tampons until then. I'm not breastfeeding tho, so I expected to start getting my periods again right away.

Sorry to hear, esp about the endo. I hope it's just a fluke and AF still stays at bay for a while longer yet!

Oh yes, AF always returns for me in the first 2 months, so I've already had my first one. With depo, it tends to disappear again though, so I'm hopeful that my first may in fact be my last for awhile.

Crossing my fingers for you lucy...STAY AWAY AF!

oh, I have endometriosis as well! I don't know if I've ever told you but I always can sympathize with you when you talk of your bad periods That's why I was put on Yaz my senior year of high school (right before Yaz was recalled) and it did a lot of crappy things to my body. I hope you can avoid the horrible periods for much, much longer!

I didn't know you had endo, Maggie! I was just so happy I was able to get pregnant. It was all over my ovaries before my last surgery (which was with a specialist in Atlanta), so they didn't know if I'd be able to. I've been on so many pills and they all either do nothing for the pain, make it worse, or have unbearable side effects for me. *sigh* the joys of womanhood...
