When I get hungry (which seems like all the time for me), it is so easy for me to just raid the pantry, so I really need to stock up on healthy stuff. I have a lot of crackers, but I need something high in protein to sustain me longer, so my next pantry raid doesn't come for a while. I'm allergic to nuts, so I can't do that. What other easy high protein snacks are there?
I often just eat fruit as a snack, but I love a cut up apple sprinkled with cinnamon with a dollop of peanut butter for dipping. cheese is always nice, and hard boiled eggs, too! sometimes I make decently healthy banana muffins just to have on hand for snacks, too.
I make up a trail mix of sorts with raw peanuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds, dried cherries, craisens - maybe a few chocolate chips - and snack on a little handful of that. It has good protein and the dried fruit adds some sweetness!
