so i forgot to add this.
so tuckr can kinda stand on his own if you stand him up and he can get his balance. hes been able to for a little while. hes usually fine until he turns his head then he falls over. or if he gets excited so usually i will stand him up near something so he can grab on or lean against.

well its gotten wrose...better...whatever.

now he gets on his hands and feet and picks his hands up so hes like squatting ut balancing on his own. he hates crawling and if you give him a finger he will run and i mean RUN around the house. he doesnt need you to support him just to balance.

HES 6 MONTHS OLD!

what the earliest yoiu have heard of a baby walking? tuckr really hates crawling. he doesnt like that it takes so long. he gets very upset at the fact that he cant get places faster. which is why he is trying so hard to walk.
im scared...

Oh Maddie your'e not alone. Emmett is doing the same... he will pull up to standing on something and then just let go and just be standing there not holding on to anything. He is cruising furniture and switching from couch to coffee table, etc. Its a total headache! He's now doing the crab walk and trying to just get up to standing from the middle of the floor from pulling up. If this is a race Tuckr can win! I'm not ready! These boys need to slowwww down... or get helmets! haha

Cam has been trying to pull himself up but hasn't quite gotten the hang of it...and I am totally ok if it stays that way!!!

That said, my friend's daughter walked at 8 months, and her other daughter and son at 9 months good luck!!!

The earliest I've seen is 8 months but I'm not sure about what in fact is the earliest a baby can walk. I just saw a little 8 month old toddling around in a store one day. It's usually preceded by pulling up on furniture and then cruising like Shannon and I think Que said their guys are doing. So once he starts doing that, you're screwed. I think Emmett's going to be our first walker though and soon! I've never seen a baby that young try to stand up without using something before! Wow!

I've heard of babies doing it at 9-10 months - Michaela is another one who would so prefer to walk than crawl, but her spine is no way strong enough yet so I think I'm safe for a while.

I have a friend in Florida that her son started at 6 months, I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it. He was a leap year baby, so I think he was special.

My friend's son was walking like a pro when he was 10 months... but he has so many cousins and older siblings that I think he wanted to join in on the fun...
That's awsome to hear that everyone's babies are starting to support themselves standing up... Leo is getting there too but I would have to pull him up and he's a bit wobbly...

Yeah, Rowan is pulling up and cruising. Ugh. Aidan (my 4 year old) walked at 8 months. So did my husband.

omw!! AJ is nowhere close to that.. I mean he'll stand there for awhile on his own, but only rolls on the floor to get to where he wants!

Ok, I lied. Cam is now pulling up. He's not cruising and he's not crawling but he's pulling up. Not a fan. I hope he's not trying to give Tuckr and Emmett a run for their money!

Jaelah my eldest was about 8.5 months. She was tiny too, like... 18lbs? If that. Tiny. Looked kinda creepy.

Maddie, I know most "cruise" first, but just wanted to tell you that Nathan stood unaided and walked for the first time in the same day. He never cruised, just got up and toddled around the circle in my house (through the kitchen around and back to the living room). I'm glad DH was home to see it because I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have believed me. It was the weirdest, yet one of the most amazing moments/memories, I have of him being a baby. So it can happen and he sounds close.

My best friend is visiting for the Fourth of July and she hasn't seen him since Christmas. Paxton will be 11 months by then so IF he follows in his sibling's footsteps he should be walking by then. She would get a kick out of that.
