My neighbor's son is turning 1 in April and I want to get him something but not sure what's a good/creative gift to give... nothing too pricey.... You think $40 is a good range?...
Any help would be appreciated...

Boy or girl?

Amazon.com: Toystate Caterpillar Construction Flash Light And Night Light: Dump Truck: Toys & Games

That was Nathan's favorite at that age if it's a boy.

For a Boy.....
I was thinking something personalized with his name....
A blankie would probably been better suited for a baby shower...
Maybe a personalized dishware with his name on it....
Does anybody know where I can get a plate, bowl, cup set (plastic so it won't break) and actually usable? I'm trying to search online now...

What about a set of books? My son got quite a few board books on his 1st birthday and has loved books ever since.

I love Sarah + Abraham for their personalized placemats & plates/bowls!

Also great for 1 year old boys (my son's favorites):
Twilight Turtle
Nice wooden alphabet blocks
Personalized Beanbag Cushion
Pillow Pets
Musical Instruments
ALL TIME FAVORITE: V-Tech Alphabet Train ($50) but it is TOTALLY the reason my son knew his ABCs so early!!

HTH!

So I found two plate designs....
One that is the alpabets for Boys....

the other has a set (plate and bowl) but is just a simple frog.....

(BTW... the invite had a frog theme so I thought this might be suiting.....)

So torn though... I like the bowl set but the design is so plain.... but I like the Alphabet plate because he can learn as he eats.... maybe just not yet but soon...

Which would you rather?

Adults would like the first, kids the second.

I like this site!!!!
I think I may go with the Boy face plate!!!

I'm so bad at making decisions... I guess you all can tell... I lost my touch.... Now I have to figure out what color plates and his eye color...
If the mom says his eyes are light brown but looks grey from time to time would you think grey should be the color on the plate?????
