Have you thought about when you will start feeding LO it? Or have you already? (I know Philip is one of the youngest here) Will you make your own baby food? Will you use the boxed cereal to start with?

We'll probably start soon after 4 months. He's a hungry boy, so I think he'll be ready. I'm not going to push it, though. I'll start by casually offering bananas after a feeding, and gradually over time start offering more foods more often as he seems interested. I'm thinking bananas, then green beans, then oatmeal, then we'll see. I'm going to make my own I'll be discussing this with his ped next visit to see if she has any other specific recommendations.

I won't start til 6 months and I'm going to try the Baby Led Weaning approach but we will see how that goes. It seems so far away since she is only 2 months old.

I think I'm going to wait until 6 months, but if she's showing a bunch of signs that she's ready earlier than that we might give it a try. I'm going to make her food. I think we're going to start with either avocados or bananas.

It depends on when she seems to be interested, but definitely not before 4 months. I'd like to hold off as long as possible, primarily because it's just ONE MORE THING to do in a day, and secondly because I hate the secondary constipation that usually follows.

Because of all of this new research about baby super foods, I might actually forgo the rice cereal this time and start with avocados!

I've been thinking about it and reading about it but Zoey doesn't seem to show any signs of wanting to start solid food. I am going to wait until she acts like she is ready for it. I still don't know about making food or buying food. There are so many arguments on both sides. We have EBT though and I know that covers baby food so I may just buy premade food. I need to do more research on making baby food at home though. I wonder if I would even have the time...

EBF until after 6 months (minimum) and then baby led weaning approach.

Everyone who plans on feeding their LO prior to 6 months I caution you to think about it long and hard before committing. Check out this http://kellymom.com/nutrition/starti.../delay-solids/

I usually have started around 4-5 months, but since Violet will be getting her cleft repair surgery at 5 months I will wait until it's healed so she can take from a spoon easier. She's fine with the bottle and formula, so I'll just have her wait!

I'm going to try and wait, until at least 6 months, if not longer. Though if she seems really ready to try, we'll go for it.
I'm just not looking forward to the work it's going to cause for washing cloth diapers...

With my other boys I started cereal at 4mths. With Philip and his allergies already, I'll probably wait as long as I can. I *hope* he doesn't have other food issues. :/ Maybe I might try some cereal at 6mths though.
