Do you ever have problems with the outside tag getting wet? Whenever I put a BG on Nora overnight, by morning the tag is wet and so are her clothes in the area. It's never leaked before and seems to hold up well overnight...except for that tag. We also use Flips and don't have that same problem.
Should I just cut it off? I paid a lot of $ for these diapers, I don't want to go cutting them up!
I've never had that problem. Does it happen with all of them? It shouldn't be wicking through the PUL so maybe the batch you got is defective. You could always call Cottonbabies and see if anyone else has reported the same issue.
Yes, this happened all the time with Akadia when we were using them at night. It just means the diaper is maxed out and for some reason that tag just grabs the moisture. I think it wicks up all the way from the leg area even. I added a hemp insert in the very back of my inserts and that really helped.
Are you using the newborn insert or the one size? The only time we leaked at night as when dh accidentally put her in a newborn insert. It shouldn't be wicking, I would call the company. If you bought them via cottonbabies, they have a warranty.
mama to 5 yr old DS1 , 3 year old DS2 , and nursling DD .
Yes, it's happening with all of them. I'm using the one-size snap insert, and didn't know I could seal the PUL...
I'll try sealing it and adding an extra insert (I have some NB sizes that I could put in there for now). Plus I'm due for a trip to the CottonBabies store anyway, so maybe I'll swing by there this weekend and see what they have to say. Thanks all!
