I have gotten a couple of things off of a consignment site so far. I got an outside kids table (really for both girls, but I was grasping for things she would need, so I'm giving it to her for her birthday) and a VTech piano thing. Other than that, I'm not sure I will get her anything else. The grandparents always spoil on the 1st birthday and we already have so much from Reagan, so I think just the party and those two things are enough
I have absolutely no idea. My mom generally buys for him throughout the year. (although I can't say I'm not guilty of that too ). I was thinking about getting him this 4 in 1 tricycle thing, but my husbands parents bought him that for Easter. I want to get him something for outdoors, like a swing set (there is one that came with the house that he loves but its really old and rickety), but my sisters dog lives outside and would tear it up =(. So I'm still trying to think of ideas.
My husband is building Evan a big wooden swing set for his Birthday. My parents are getting him a little plastic slide/jungle gym type thing to go with it. We are planning on getting Evan a few smaller things that he can actually open too but the swing set is his main gift.
I am thinking about getting Raini a swing to go outside. the little tykes pink one (or is it fisher price?) my boys both have real swings out on a big oak tree, and she loves to swing... so I think that'll be great for her.
