Today was an odd one for Elias. He got up as normal just before 6am and acted fine, like he was hungry. But after only 4 oz of formula, he burped then refused the rest of the bottle! Never had that happen. Normally he'll fuss while I'm trying to burp him because he wants the rest of the bottle NOW! But today, the whole day, he refused the bottle after only a bit and most of the time it took me ages to get him to get even 4 oz in his tummy. He ate solids fine but again, didn't want much to drink with it and even started refusing the solids after about half what he normally eats.

He seems fine in every other way. Played well, slept for his naps good and pooped 4 times, the last being such a blow-out we had to literally hose him off in the shower! Not sure anything is wrong, it's just odd for him to not want the bottle at least. Just wondering what you ladies think?

It could be teeth. Emmersyn ate less then teeth were coming in. I wouldn't worry or push it.

Yeah maybe teeth or even a slight earache. It hurts to suck with any sort of ear pain. But if he doesn't seem to be in any pain...I dunno. I doubt it would go on much longer without the being evidence of what is causing it.

Teeth or ear pain?
Sounds more like ear pain, but he would be fussy otherwise, I would think.

We have been going through the same thing with Finn but he actually fights me not to drink or eat.
The pediatrician told me that this normally happens when they are teething.
I am not pushing it.
