WHen the weather is warm does your baby go barefoot?

If not, what does baby wear on their feet?

Do you see a problem with letting baby go barefoot in warm weather?

I have no issues with barefootedness. though I prefer they wear socks - because my feet are perpetually cold! LOL

I'd rather barefoot than spend a fortune in shoes they will wear for a week before they outgrow.

I only put shoes on him that have been gifted to him at this point. They grow so fast! As soon as we get home, socks, shoes, etc come right off for comfort

It's only been in the 60's a few times here so far, so Weston has been wearing mostly his one piece pj's.
I fully intend to let him be barefoot during the summer. I don't like shoes very much myself! lol

We have already had several days in the 70s and even a couple in the 80s. When it is really warm I keep Kyah barefoot. When it is cooler, she wears socks. Kyah is a big baby and I haven't even seen any shoes that would fit her feet correctly. They would need to be somewhat wide at this point. Even if I did find some that fit her, I wouldn't buy them yet! I don't see anything wrong with babies being barefoot. I was surprised to find out that there are actually tons of Mommies who feel that it is "trashy". I think it is comfortable for baby and also super cute! I love baby feet!!

Evelyn has a couple pairs of shoes that fit her now but two are soft soled and the other I found 2nd hand and couldn't pass them up lol. But she still goes barefoot a lot. Depends all on the weather as we still have some cool days where feet need to be covered and socks just are not enough.

Elliott wears socks in public, although our aunts just went yard saling and SCORED on a huge bag of baby shoes for a buck. Very nice dress shoes and manly/boy shoes and one is even leather! So he will be wearing those out. I don't like the look of a barefoot baby in public-like grocery store or shopping mall, but I think outside at the beach, park etc is completely normal. We still get cold here in WA so socks and shoes for a while.

Cash is almost walking.. as far as holding our hands and cruising along furniture. Our pediatrician said that they're feet actually develop better if they aren't in shoes a lot. He never wears shoes (not for that reason.. but because I think his toes are adorable and I don't like wearing socks/shoes so I just assume my kids don't either) And truthfully.. my 5 year old rarely wears shoes when he is outside still.. just likes the feeling of grass between his toes I guess.

It's a pet peeve of my hubby's that if the kids are out of the house, they need to have shoes on, including the baby. I have two pair that strap, so they are easy to get on. Quick and easy works best for me, but I like them cuz they make him look fully dressed and are cute with his outfits. I'll need to get him some good nice and supportive ones soon because we too are close to walking!! Yay!

Liam is a barefoot baby. With his chunky piggies, it's very difficult to find shoes that fit him (especially in his instep). As he begins walking more (fwd from cruising), we'll invest in a good, sturdy-soled, lace-up shoe for balance and support.
