My DH wants Abby (6 months) to start sleeping in the pack n' play next to our bed. We've had it in our bedroom since she was born, but she's always slept in bed with us. She still wakes up once to eat so it is easier to bf her in bed. I am finding myself conflicted. Sometimes I love waking up and seeing her beautiful face next to mine. She is moving so much more though and turning into a bed hog to the point some nights I don't sleep well at all. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to transition her to her pack n' play?
Thanks!

I started working on it during nap time. At night, I start them off in it and then when they wake to nurse, I bring them in the bed with me. Now some of mine were easier than others. Some hardly ever slept in it and would wake up as soon as I laid them down. Some did wonderfully and transitions smoothly. The ones that wanted their space did well, the ones that wanted to feel me touching them almost all night, not so much.

Thank you, I tried this yesterday. I nursed her to sleep around 9 pm and put her in the p n'p. I kept waking up to make sure she was warm and comfy though. I was pretty restless and heard every little movement. She woke up around 2:30 to nurse so I put her back in our bed and she nursed back to sleep and I slept better until I work up at 5 am to get ready for work. It will take time to get used to her not in my bed, but I think I'll use this method for awhile and I know I'll get used to it.

Thanks!
