What's the longest you have been away from your baby? How did that go? Any plans to be apart for a long time in the future?
For me, it's been just about 3 hours. Little stinker doesn't take a bottle. It's so hard, but I can't complain. I remember when my 3 year old went on his first sleepover with my mom. It felt so strange! I think he was over 2 too. I can't imagine being away from Ruby overnight right now, I would be a mess.
mama to 5 yr old DS1 , 3 year old DS2 , and nursling DD .
I work 10-6:45 on Tues/Thurs so from 9:30-7:30 =( It was really hard in the beginning, but now I just look at video's of him while I pump and my clients are always asking to see pictures of him, so I see him all day =)
Jill, I don't think I realized you work that long on those two days! Wow. I bet you're beat at the end.
The longest I was away from Emmy was about 3 hours. It was at the second interview for the nanny job I have now. we were going to go over the girls' schedules and routines and since Bryan was home, I felt it was best to leave her with him.
I honestly can't imagine spending the night apart; even with as much as she wakes me.
For school, Madalyn was with my mom from 6:15am - 4:00pm. It was a long day and I missed her a lot, but my mom was great about texting me pics throughout the day, so that helped. But now it's summer, so I'll get to be with Madalyn all the time!

I have actually been away from Luyando for three days. Had to come to the US and knew it was better leaving her than dragging her on the 14-hour trip only to turn around the next day to do it over again. She did better than I did. She took her bottles more than she would if I was around and slept well; she had dh and my mom taking care of her. I was actually surprised at how well she did. Once she saw me though, that's another story The girl loves her momma.
Wow, I kinda feel like a bad mom. I was away from her for 5 days when we all had that terrible stomach flu. That was so hard, but she was with my mom & I knew that was what was best for her. However, she spends the night with my parents all the time. At least once every couple of weeks. Gives me time with older dd.
about 4 hours over here, Mathieu takes a bottle but because of the supply issues i've had i don't ever want to miss more than one feeding and he STILL goes no longer than 2 hours between feedings during teh day...
