We have a heat wave here, no central AC. Just one window unit in the living room.

So how do you all beat the heat? Do most of you have air in your homes? When it's hot, do you primarily stay indoors?

We swim and play in the yard a lot. We splash in the pool or water table and cool off, I try and keep her in just a diaper when it's nasty out.

We have central air as well as a window unit in the master bedroom. During the high heat of the day we tend to stay inside or when DH is home I will take the 4 older children to the library. Once the sun starts to set we go outside and play to release some energy.

We have central air. If it's yucky, we stay indoors. In the evening, we will go for a walk or to the park.

We have central AC. Florida would be unbearable in the summer without it! We don't really use it at all during the winter because it's so nice though.

We have central heat, but we couldn't stay cooped up all day no matter how hot it is. Claire has a water table and sprinkler that she plays in, we go to the lake, and we go to the pool on weekends when DH can help. We also try to get out early in the morning or in the evening if the mosquitoes aren't too bad.

AC is my way of dealing with it. We have a pool and the children swim everyday all day. But because of all the swimming their appetite is HUGE and they are eating us out of house of home. LOL

As far as baby she stays with me and her eye is still draining a lot from allergies when we go outside. So I limit her time outside sadly..
