Can you believe we're already back to the fall holidays?! This year went by fast! Have you started planning the holidays in your family?

I'm excited that Oliver will be old enough this year to actively participate in Thanksgiving {eating the food} and Christmas! We might try & make the trek to LA this Christmas, but I'm not sure yet. I hate even thinking about holidays this early, but I realize we have to start actively planning which family to see, how long we'll be there, & gift buying. When it was just DH & I, holidays could be planned on a whim!

The only real reason I'm even thinking about the holidays now is because my sister asked me a week ago what we were planning on doing this year. Between DH's family & mine, we have up to 5 different holiday events, for each holiday, that we can "choose" from to go to. That only really works for Thanksgiving, and we usually only do 1 Thanksgiving. Christmas is the killer... we have my family, his moms, his big family gathering, my dad's & my step-moms family. Its crazy!

What gifts are you thinking about? I've thought of a couple that we can use for bday or Christmas. I saw one of those old spring loaded horses that Oli can ride. Someone locally is selling one for $50. Or I was thinking of buying a bunch of those play-place like plastic balls & making Oli a ball pit to play in. And I want to get him a pop-up tunnel!

I love the holiday season! I've been thinking about it already. Frankie's bday is Nov 28th, which is thanksgiving this year. So his first birthday and first thanksgiving are the same day. We will be cooking and having our families over for thanksgiving. The weekend before thanksgiving is Frankie's party. I can't wait to decorate for Xmas DVD have Frankie help with the tree. We will be going to dh family in Christmas Eve and then my parents Christmas Day. I can't wait!
