I definitely would not worry. The average 16 month old has a few words in their vocabulary. As long as he understands you I wouldn't worry at all and especially on -average- boys do develop a little more behind than girls (though of course there are boys who are advanced and girls who are behind).
I believe it's around the age of 2- 2 1/2 when Pediatricians will start to be concerned if their vocabulary is behind and introduce maybe speech therapy. He will get there, especially if he can already say a handful. One day you'll wake up and he'll just bloom with words.

LOs Name: Addy
Age: almost 16 months
Weight: she was about 22 lbs a couple of weeks ago
Height: just shy of 31"
Diaper Size: 4
Potty Training Yet?: No way, way too young for that, I'm not going to press the issue until I notice signs of readiness, it's too stressful for everyone involved (IMO) if you try to do it too soon.
Clothing Size: 18 months
Shoe Size: 4.5/5
Still Breastfeeding?/ToddlerFormula?/Or Whole Milk?: Whole Milk
Favorite Food: ANYTHING...lol! She just learned the words cookie and cracker, so those are probably her favorite foods
Walking?: Yes, all over and running, climbing, etc
Talking?: Lots, the doctor was surprised at how much she says. Although she wouldn't say it for the doctor She says mommy, daddy, sock, shoe, Mocha, snack, cookie, cracker, where it go?, uh oh, yes, more, eat, please, thank you, no, Reagan, sissy, pop pop, mom mom, gion, pey pey (for her aunt Peyton), Bry Bry for her uncle Bryan, and lots more.
How's LO Sleeping? Through the night, usually from about 8 to 6
Naps?: 1 a day, in the afternoon.
