I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum, but what kind of bottles are you using?
I gave Karaline her first bottle of pumped milk last night. I just used our old Tommee Tippee bottles. They were okay. I'm going to go look to see if they have a slower flow nipple. The one I used was a 1, so it might be the lowest. She might just have to get used to the difference. But I'm thinking of switching brands. I liked the new Avent ones that Anna posted about yesterday. We had the old ones and they leaked a lot.
We used Playtex Ventaire with B and Dr. Browns. I hated the Dr. Browns! Playtex is going ok with C but I bought some Advent ones because the nipple seems to work better with her mouth and we have been having major feeding issues. I was thinking she was taking in too much air with the Playtex but now I don't know.
Anyways, the Advent have a 1, 2, 3, and 4, nipple. The one is for newborns and is below the slow level flow. It also has a really wide nipple that would is more like a breast than the playtex or the dr browns. I would look into those if I were you. I think you will like them.
They also have some called BreastFlow and they mimic breastfeeding. I think the baby has to pull the milk out by sucking and that it doesn't just come freely. They are really recommended for people who BF.

We have medela bottles and slow flow nipples. I like those because it works with the medela pump. Even though the nipple is slow flow he can still chug those bottles so I am going to try and do the pace feeding. I wonder if the breast flow bottles would be better...
I jut started pumping, so we haven't tried a bottle yet. We have some of the new Avent bottles I bought to pump into so I will try those first. In the past we used the old Avent, which only leaked if we tightened the nipples too hard.
We ave also used breastflow, which were okay and Born Free which we liked too.
When they persisted in questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let the person among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." John 8:7 Sail Back to Me
So I just bought more Tommee Tippee ones. I got more of the size one nipples. I was thinking since Kate used the sized 1 when she was a lot older, maybe she made the hole bigger by sucking on them? I'm hoping to try them tonight after they get washed.
We're also using the Tommee Tippee bottles and the #1 flow seems a bit much for Kaleb considering he is a breastfed baby and is used to having to suck hard.
We used the Breastflow with our DD and I loved them! They make baby work harder, so it takes them a bit longer to finish which isn't necessarily a bad thing... I'm thinking of switching back to them for Kaleb.
Wish we had originally bought the Breastflow bottles because I can already tell Kaleb prefers the bottle over my nipple. I wonder if it's too late now?
~Special thanks to *Kiliki* for my adorable siggy~
