We have tried many different beds for Rilyn. She started in a hammock type bed, slept in bed with me and is now using a bassinet in our room. She does pretty well in that...we were hoping to find something that she would sleep longer in, no such luck yet!! Guess I just have to be patient...she does sleep better on her side though and she will roll on to her back when she wants to.
During the day she sleeps on the couch next to me either flat or upright in the boppy pillow while I am there or she will sleep in her vibrating chair or in the pack n play. She does best sleeping on her tummy or side during the day
For PJs she has either been in the little sack dresses or in fleece sleepers so far.
At night Alexander sleeps in his bassinet next to my side of the bed in arm's reach. We swaddle him at night in fleece swaddle sacks.
For naps during the day/evening it's pretty much wherever he conks out - on my lap or chest, on Daddy's lap or chest, in his vibrating chair, in his swing.
At night he sleeps in bed with me. During the day, he's usually in my arms or on my lap. We have a bassinet and a crib for him, but I want to wait until he's a little older for the crib, and he seems to get too cold in the bassinet if we leave him there for more than 15 minutes.
He sleeps in whatever he wore that day, generally... but we mostly dress him in sleepers!
Ryan starts out sleeping in his crib, but sometimes in the night he ends up sleeping in my arms.
During the day he naps in his swing or his PnP.
I usually dress him in those nightgown sleepers, they just seem easier for diaper changes, no snaps or zippers to fuss with in the dark. I also put on little babylegs leg warmers, a fleece wearable blanket and then wrap him in a cotton swaddleme. I think our house gets cold at night, it goes down to about 63-65 degrees, brrrr
So reassuring to read that I'm not the only one who often ends up sleeping with my LO in our bed. She was in a moses basket but she doesn't like being swaddled anymore and seems to get too cold and not settle in it now.
