Anyone have any good freezer meal recipes? Crockpot, and non-crockpot
I am looking on pinterest right now and see some good ones that I will post.
I just don't know how far in advance I should make & freeze them. Any ideas?
Post yours below!

I don't have exact recipes, but here are some ideas that I plan on trying to make:

- lasagna
- chili
- spaghetti sauce
- miscellaneous soups
- miscellaneous pastas
- meatballs and/or meatloaf
- cooked meat for things like sandwiches, tacos, etc. (pulled pork, roasts, ground beef)
- beans/rice mix
- stuffed pepper filling
- pot pies

I'm not sure I'll make all of those things (we don't have THAT much freezer space right now and unless we find a really good deal on a chest freezer this summer we won't have more by the time the baby is here) but those are some ideas. I'll come back and add specifics and recipes as I figure it out.

I'm planning to do some cooking ahead too! We just got a chest freezer from Lowes for 159.99 with free home delivery. It's a no name brand "holiday" but I guess it's the Lowes in house brand and it's manufactured by Haier. It gets pretty good reviews! it's only 5cubic feet though, we don't have room for much more.

Other than cooking ahead I also just plan on buying and freezing meats on sale all summer because we'll be taking a huge cut in pay during my maternity leave, so I figure if we can stock up now, during leave we will only need to worry about fresh foods...

Anyway, I think the only things I have to add to your list of ideas are casseroles and also maybe just pre bagged crockpot meals.... I'll come back with links to some recipes!

This isn't my first rodeo, so here is a link to what I did when Beauu was born.

Do you dumpt the crockpot meals into the crockpot frozen? Or do you thaw them in the fridge first?

I'm doing Wildtree freezer meals. It's a workshop type deal. They give you all the recipes and spices and you make 10 six serving meals. Easy and healthy!!

By the way I'm a Wildtree rep :-p
