I've had 2 med free births ...let me clarify, 2 pain med free. I was induced with brylie at 37w. I plan for the same this time. Giving birth is my favorite part. I can't wait to do it again!

I put other, because I had a spinal block last time, which is just a shot of meds in your back, instead of the continuous drip w/ a cath for an epidural....

I'll be having another C/S, so another spinal I guess...

I went 18 hours med free out of 23. I needed some sleep. 18 hours on pitocin too! I plan on going med free again as long as possible.

I went med free with my son and I was so glad I did. I was so proud of myself and felt so strong afterwards. It was a really "zen" kind of birth, i was inside myself and just walked around, rolled on a birth ball, and held onto my husband swaying. Even during transition, i never felt like i couldnt take it any longer. When transition hit, my mother pointed it out, because i had a small bout of panic, but not from the pain, just from being exhausted! I remember trying to lay down, sit down, rest somehow and had to get back on my feet as soon as a contraction hit. But transition was quick. and best of all, my baby boy was so alert after birth, he sat there staring around at everyone for over an hour before finally taking his first nap. It was great.
