I thought it might be interesting to see where we stand now vs what actually happens.

I have tried to go med free before, and I end up getting panic attacks between contractions, so have always gotten an epi. I go as long as I can without, and then afterward wonder why I waited so long.

I want to go completely med free this time but if I have a horrible induction like with my second I might give in for IV meds again.

I will try med free. Last time I made it to 7cm and gave in! Epi gives me really low blood pressure so I am going to try to and avoid it. We shall see.

I am planning an epidural. I am going to try and go as long as I can without one but won't be lying to myself or anyone else...I will likely have one. Haha

Amen sister! Lol

My only request this time will be a lower initial dose. About 2 seconds after my epidural I went to a 10 but was too numb to figure out how to push. haha

I hope med free, but I have off the chart contractions last time because of him being in the wrong position, so I won't be able to handle it again if that happens

Epidural for me. I got epi's late with my two boys- the first went in at 8 cm and the second went in at 10 cm when I was about to start pushing. This time I want one earlier!

I might as well go med-free since my last epi didn't work at all and I had a scare while the anesthesiologist was doing the epi. He hit a nerve and my left leg got shocks and it made my leg jump without me doing it. The epidural didn't touch me, I still felt EVERYTHING and I was able to move my legs. The nurses and midwife were stunned. Now I'm terrified of epidurals!

My first was med-free, my 2nd, I was given a general due to needing an emergency c-section.

I got an epi with all three of mine and had a great experience each time. But since we thought we were done, our current insurance doesn't cover maternity so I'm gonna attempt to keep the epi and anesthesiologist off our bill

I was thrilled that I could still move my legs! That's a good thing.

I'll have an epidural. With DD I waited until I couldn't handle the contractions and couldn't breathe due to pain. This time I will not be waiting so long to get it.
