Sorry, was hoping you would get some relief with this one! I have been toughing it out without Zofran since Sunday and usually only throw up in the morning. I will still use it if it gets real bad, but the zofran makes me sleepier than I can take.

zofran doesn't make me sleepy. The phenargen definitely did, and wasn't as effective either.

In all honesty, I was starting to worry a little that I wasn't as sick as I normally am...

Doubt it, since it didn't the last four. But, one can hope right? At least I get something cute in the end.

I am sorry you are so sick. I have never experienced nausea with vomiting like that. I only would get nauseous. I have to say though, its surely a good sign of positive things. I was panicking in my head because I wasn't feeling sick really at all. I was before i got a bfp then it stopped and I thought "oh great, here we go again" but as of 2 days ago, i have been nauseous...so although its uncomfortable, I am so happy to feel everything. I am sorry you are so sick though. I know its probably not so fun for you. I hope you get relief!

Well my zofran plan backfired in my face. I was not able to control it and caved and have been taking it regularly since yesterday morning(tried to skip last night) and had to take it in the middle of the night. Still vomiting with it,but not as much. I am desperate and my dh is at the store right now looking for seabands. This is so rough and I feel like a total blob and this is one of my fave times of the yr

Sorry you are sick! I know the feeling, it's horrible! I'm glad you had zofran. I am right there with you, phenergan makes me knock out. Hopefully we get some rest in the second tri, or maybe even sometime? I'm dreaming for us! haha.

Amy, I know HG is much different than just morning sickness, but have you asked your dr about combining treatments for more control? More info on this at the HER Foundation forums here:

Hyperemesis Gravidarum Support and Research Forums • View forum - Medications, Treatments & Alternative Therapies

Some combo treatments that are safe with Zofran include B6/Unisom and Zantac/acid reducers. Big hugs for you ladies dealing with HG. Like Brittanie said, at least you get an adorable baby at the end!

I actually have an appt tomorrow to see what they suggest. I know tums wasn't helping and making me more nauseated. I have the bands on now and they do seems to be helping along with lemonade. I was real sick since the beginning and thought I had a bug, but now I am pretty sure I have HG like I had with my first..
