I have acid issues too. Prior to getting pregnant the last time, I was on something which I stopped. This time again. It flares up every few years for me, I cut out coffee and alcohol and take something for a month or two, then it goes away. My OB had always said, tums or liquid maalox. I plan to ask again Friday. My doc is kind of "Anti-medicine" when pregnant. I did read a study online that said use of acid-reducers during pregnancy may lead to increased asthma rates in children, but not sure how accurate it was.
I did TUMS with my 1st pg, but towards the end it seemed like even water caused me to have heartburn. I am trying to remember what my doc said was ok to take...You should be just fine as long as they have advised it.
Oh, I remember it was Zantac
