I went in to be seen early by the OBYGN yesterday due to lots of cramping on my left side. I was nervous that this was a tubal pregnancy and since the doctor that will be delivering us wouldn't see us until we are ten weeks along I just saw someone else locally. To make a long story short it was very obvious on the ultrasound what was causing my pain. A luteal cyst on my left ovary that looks and feels enormous. Hopefully that goes away on it's own. I've actually had one drained in a previous pregnancy amniocentesis-style. I'd do that again if they offered just to have the relief. The baby looked good, no arms or legs yet, but we're still only in the beginning of week six so that's to be expected. The heartbeat was 134 beats per minute which astonished me for being so early. I go back in two weeks to have the cyst and baby looked at again. Yay for ultrasounds!

I had one of those with my last pregnancy. Mine wasn't too big and shrunk on its own. I did appreciate the fact that it got me some extra ultrasounds!
