I've been considering starting some sort of work at home thing, to bring in a little extra spending money. I want it to be something of a hobby for me, more for enjoyment than for the money. I'm thinking about maybe blogging, or making and selling something...

Does anyone here have any experience with this? or suggestions?

I work from home but I work for Amazon so it is a official job with set hours and stuff. I almost started selling up cycled crayons but it is hard to be crafty and work full time.

I run a website, which is coming up on its 7th anniversary this July. It is NOT easy work at all. It takes a ton of time and dedication...and it's only really started making good money in the past 4 years. So if blogging or a website is something that you're thinking about....I would say, don't expect to make more than a couple bucks a month for a long time.

Oh gosh I can't imagine working a real job AND taking care of kids. That's why I'd like to do something more on my own time.

& how does one upcycle crayons? lol

I guess I could live with really low pay at first. Like I said, it would mostly be a hobby. Do you have any tips for starting a blog? What is your website for, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm thinking I could do a combination of blogging and making/selling. That way I can advertise/promote my own products here and there.

I work from home and travel a great deal, too... It's my career (I/O Psychologist), though, so nothing crafty or anything. It's a LOT of work and sometimes, when I feel like crap with queasiness and exhaustion, I still have to work and I don't feel like it but I love what I do and it's WONDERFUL to be able to stay home and take care of the kids!

I have heard of moms joining some site(s) where they simply complete surveys or whatnot for money? I don't know how that works, but maybe someone else does.

I melt them then shape them in molds. I make them for my children's birthday party favors and everyone thinks they are pretty cool. Atti had animal shaped ones for his safari birthday last year. Nate's birthday is coming up not sure they make Skylanders molds.
