Okay, so i just paid my insurance $2100(What we pay every 3 months) 2 days before it was due, the check cleared....today I went to pick up my hypothyroid meds and it was $10.00...it's never cost me before, but i was like whatever insurance is a mess and it's not much..seemed reasonable...but i got on to "My Blue" (blue cross blue shield) and it says my insurance is inactive! What the heck!?!!! I'm so mad, and of course it's too late to call them


ugh I HATE calling insurance companies....and tomorrow is my nursing final, go figure!! Just one more distraction


just wanted to complain


Update:
I got this email back, so I didn't even have to call
Dear Ms. K

Thank you for contacting Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska. Please be assured that your premium payment was received, and your policy has been reinstated without a lapse in coverage. Your MyBlue account may still show you as inactive until the changes have cycled through our systems, but you and your dependents do have coverage. Please feel free to contact us again with any additional questions or concerns.

I dont really know why it says "reinstated" because it never shouldve been deactivated because it was paid on time, but whatever. I have insurance. that's all I care about

Save your receipt and get a refund when they sort it out. That's a lot of $$$ for them to make that kinda mistake.

I hate insurance companies, they are always trying to get out of paying things - i have BCBS too, they suck. Funny thing is I have never had a problem with medicaid, whom I don't PAY to cover me.

i agree BCBS sucks, but everywhere takes their policies so i think that's why they feel like they can be jerks to customers
