Wow how thoughtful of her to offer up her opinion when you DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR IT!

Babies are nothing but blessings so don't let her unwanted opinions make you think any different. You will be an outstanding momma! Who cares if your car sucks and your house is old???? It's the love in your heart that matters!

thanks everyone! I thought i'd let everyone know how it went. I ended up going to the wedding alone, and my extended family were very understanding and supportive. No one tried to bring up the drama, and on their wedding day my new sister in law actually slipped me and congratulations card for me and my SO. it was very sweet, and the wedding itself was very beautiful.

I was apprehensive to show anyone the actual message but my grandma who I stayed with wanted to see it. I reluctantly showed it to her and she was quite unhappy with it and had nothing but nice things to say about how she'll support us to the end... so it ended up being a good trip.

Big hugs! I don't even know how I would feel. Hopefully you get an apology.

I'm really glad that the rest of your family decided to back you up. Whether she agrees with your choices in life, it's none of her business and not her place to make you feel bad about it. Glad everything went well!

I am pro choice too but I would NEVER try to talk anyone into a decision like that. These are YOUR choices, this is YOUR life--there is no one in your family that has to live your life except you. If they cannot be supportive then there is no reason for you to even have contact with them.
