Seth and I have agreed 100% on a boys name yet we can't agree on a girls name! This is exactly why we start so early because I am betting it is going to take another few months before we do. Every name I like he doesn't and the ones he likes I am like heck no (Rio, Sawyer and Ambrose for example!).
Why does choosing a girls name have to be so freaking hard!!! In case you are curious here are my top few girls names in order of liking:
Eleanor (Would call her Ellie)
Hattie (he doesn't mind this one)
Adrienne (he likes this one)
I think it's because we've all known girls that we associate negatively with certain names. I taught high school for 4 years, so my list of "definitely not" names is even longer than most people's. We're going to have a heck of a time with a girl's name because we used the one we both loved for the first baby, the one that was barely agreed upon last time and our other name that we liked was used by a co-worker of dh's that we sometimes hang out with. I haven't decided yet if that means that that particular name is off limits...
Wife to sweet husband Jeff and mother to 2 beautiful girls: Emily (2) and Jocelyn (1).
For DD2, we literally ARGUED over names. I was a mess. I HATED every girl name I could think of, and I had my desired parameters, and I even stepped out of them. My L&D with her was fast and furious (1 hour 20 min from start of contractions to birth) and the nurse asked, "so what's her name" and I just remarked she didn't have one... Then DH said (after he saw this whole whirlwind of a birth without an epidural) that I could name her my favorite name choice.
Now, he looks back and he dislikes the names he had adamantly thrown at me and said my name's (her name) is the best. No duh.
Soooo... I DREAD trying to name this one if it's a girl.
If it's a boy, he's all set and there's no question of his name!

I think girls names are way easier...I Think they are more flexible than boy names...girls can be anything...but if you name a boy Glenn, he's gotta fit that name, and if you name a boy Dagger..he has to fit that
