So I went for my second appointment yesterday, it was our first time meeting with our actual OB-GYN since we conceived. I lost 3 pounds, which I was so excited about, I had thought I would've gained 10! We got to listen to the babies' heartbeats on the doppler which was exciting. I got all my questions answered and was cleared to exercise and color my hair (hooray!).

I wanted to share the best thing my doctor said to me, which really calmed a lot of my fears. She said, "If you're going to miscarry, you're going to miscarry. It won't be because of anything you've done." I feel like I can relax a little more knowing that that is something out of my control.

She advised me not to gain too much weight, if any, for as long as possible because I will be putting lots on toward the end and I will be very uncomfortable. I was overweight before becoming pregnant, but she didn't give me any indication that weight would play a role in any complications. She said it all depends on your innards. She did let me know that there is more risk involved with a twin pregnancy as well as increased symptoms and aches and pains, but it seems like there won't be too much more monitoring until I hit 20-26 weeks.

I go back next Friday for my ERA and I'm excited for this ultrasound, because the babies should like human by now! I think after the ERA I'll feel a lot better. And then we can tell the world!

I think my nausea has all but subsided and my appetite is coming back. I'm starting to sleep better, although my increased urination has kicked up a notch. Two and a half more weeks until I'm out of this God-awful first trimester and into my second! Can't wait!

I think you are too kind. Kind people give the people around them a hard time. You can't express yourself honestly, because you are worried about hurting other people's feelings, and that makes you miserable.~"Winter Sonata"
