So I was scheduled for my NT scan this morning and at 7:45 I get a call saying I'm too early and I'll need to wait. I thought they had my due date wrong and I argued with the receptionist that it was 12/26 and I was 12 weeks. So they told me to come in anyway and the babies were about a millimeter or 2 too small for the test. It turns out they changed my due date to 12/31 but neglected to tell me!

We still got a 5-10 minute ultrasound and got to see the babies. I was so excited to see how babylike they are now. Their heartbeats were amazing, 147 and 175.

We go back next Thursday for the actual scan, but I definitely felt better after seeing and hearing them.

I'm just still kind of shocked that no one told me my due date changed. It doesn't really matter in the long run, the twins will come whenever they're ready, but as far as appointments and ultrasounds go, it matters. I hope I don't have to reschedule the 3 or 4 appointments I already have scheduled, but oh well.

Looking forward to next Thursday!

That's odd. The maternal fetal doc I saw for my most recent ultrasound said that the NT test could be done between 11 and 14 weeks (the last day they can do it is 13w6d).

Glad you got a sneak peek though.

5 days shouldn't be a big deal, especially now... but whatever! Having twins, you MOST likely won't make it to the 31st (or the 26th) anyway So glad you got a sneak peek and everything looks good!

awe happy you go to see your little ones!!!

i dont think 5 days should make a huge difference with appointments, because I know my ob gave me a broad esitmate of 2-4 weeks to get the ultrasounds/testings done. I don't know if thats different for you and for twins?

That's what I thought too. Everywhere I read about the NT scan, it said it could be done at 11 weeks, but the ultrasound tech said that they need to be 45 mm to measure and they were only 43 and 44.
