I am making breakfast for DH before church (assuming we go...we have been out of town two weekends in a row, so we lost our momentum)

Then for dinner, we are having my parents over and having BBQ from a local place, I'm making beans (High Country Bbq Beans Recipe) and I'm making a strawberry cake and a lemon cake because it is Father's Day AND my mom's BDay.

I'm thinking about making filet mignon, potatoes, steamed broccoli, and some kind of tasty dessert.

Father's Day is the one day a year Matt can get me to cook fish without any argument. I hate anything that once lived in water ( ), and normally don't want it in my house. But we don't go out to eat on Sundays, and Father's Day is always on a Sunday, and when I want to cook something extra special, he wants fish.

So I bought a filet of fresh, wild caught salmon this evening that was SO pink it was almost red. One of the most beautiful colors I've ever seen. I'll serve it with corn on the cob and probably mashed potatoes and pasta salad. And grilled chicken for those of us who won't eat fish (only Matt and Erin will).

Sam bought beef ribs & pork ribs, russet potatoes and red potatoes, corn on the cob, and im making corn bread, snicker apple salad, and baked beans. we're inviting his parents over and his dad eats like 6 horses so we have to have lots of food i love making big meals! (I just hate the cleanup )
He will grill hotdogs for the kids, because im not sure they will eat the ribs. We'll offer those first, though.
