I'm not talking about "this friend whose mom was a teacher had a student named Orangejello"

I mean people you actually know.

I'll start. I know someone named Nemesis. That is her actual name.

There's a girl in DD's dance class named Seven, but I don't think it's that bad, just NMS and a girl we bump into on the playground named Vesper. Not sure if that is BAD, but again, not exactly my style.

I taught a girl named S'amiracle. As in: It's a miracle!! I don't remember the story, but when mom was still recovering from birth and a little loopy from pain meds, she heard someone say it and thought it would make a neat name. That little girl owns it though.

Meanwhile, I think that Richard Trickle (the NASCAR driver) has a very unfortunate name. His parents had to know what the most common nickname of Richard is.

I love Nemesis. It's one of my favorite myths! I love really unusual names.

I know a Michael Hunt...who goes my Mike. Say it fast.

I also am very close friends with a guy named Muddford. He goes by Mudd. Apparently it's an old family name.

I used to work with a woman who's name was Vanity. No one ever believed her that it was her real name until she got out her ID.

There is a girl in my Moms group who is named Precious. Her maiden name is Areola. Her name is hyphenated now, but I think that is the worst I have heard.

When I worked at the library I encountered people with all kinds of crazy names. The one that sticks out the most to me for some reason is Rah-Rah. Yep, with the hyphen. :/

I went to college with a Mudd, so I find it kinda endearing!

In grade school I had a teacher who was Mrs. Buttsavage. I had an OB/GYN named Dr. Hurt, and I had a dentist named Dr. Prior!
feythful likes this.

I think you are too kind. Kind people give the people around them a hard time. You can't express yourself honestly, because you are worried about hurting other people's feelings, and that makes you miserable.~"Winter Sonata"

It will probably get censored out. It was a girl 2 grades ahead of me in school. Her name rhymed with chithead. (Pronounced sha-teed)

I knew a lot of funny named kids growing up. There were twins in my grade named pryncess and dymond, their sister is queenlyn and their brothers are Kingstyn and prynce.

One of my doula clients last name is fell, and they named their son trypton.

My OBGYN's name is Dr. Fish. I laugh every time some asks me who my dr. is.

My little guys name is Richard Steele. We call him Steele. But I could see where a nickname could be unfortunate.

We have several unusual names around here where I live, I cant think of any that is blows-my-mind awful, a lot that are not my style like, Cotton, for example.

My sister went to school with a Justin Time. I worked in a doctors office and saw tons of crazy names! The one that stands out now is Sparkle.

Well I'm raised in the hood so I've got names for days lol

The worst one i know isn't the name it's the spelling. She named her daughter Korean, but says its Corrine. Like why couldn't u just spell it normal. No one would look at that spelling and say Corrine. They will call her Korean (like the people from Korea). Bless that child when she starts school. Lol
