My calves after work are so swollen and uncomfortable. This seems to be happening more often. Not much in my ankles but my calves are getting a lot of swelling. They even feel tight and uncomfortable like your hands do when they swell. Anyone else have this issue? I sit a lot at work and I know that doesn't help. But I try to move around a lot.

I haven't had this. I'd probably call my dr with any swelling especially this early. Are you drinking lots of water?

I drink only water and enough of it. It's been really hot and humid lately so I've been drinking it like crazy

I'm older and heavier than you, but I started swelling very early on. Drinking water, lemon water, and having a sip or two of Gatorade in between have all helped. Without a little Gatorade with all that water I find I don't feel good, and my heart pounds.

The biggest help of all is putting my feet up whenever I'm sitting! Or I sit in the floor with my legs outstretched. Anytime my feet are down, I'm sure to swell. Walking is also a help, and when sitting rotating my ankles and pointing and flexing my feet whenever I think about it.

I agree that talking to your care provider would be good! I am also having my bp monitored regularly for Zumba~that's something I would consider, just to be safe. I hope you find comfort, and please keep us updated!

I think you are too kind. Kind people give the people around them a hard time. You can't express yourself honestly, because you are worried about hurting other people's feelings, and that makes you miserable.~"Winter Sonata"

Yeah, I think you should call your doctor.

Do you have a way to take your own blood pressure?

Hugss I do have a computer monitor under my desk that I can stretch my legs out and up on. I'm not supposed to but whatever ;-) and I stand and go up an down on my toes. I should stand up more but it just has gotten so uncomfortable to just stand in one place

I don't have a way to do my BP but I've always ran low my whole life and the last pregnancy. I should catch one at Walmart or something an see what it's like this week I guess. It hasn't been checked in a week and a half

My bp has always been low, too, but I'm finding right now my bottom number is 80. That's high for me!

I haven't had swelling in my calves, although I've noticed swelling already in my fingers and feet if its a hot day and I've been active. I always swell in heat. Lots of water and gatorade helps.
