I am always fascinated by people~the how's and why's behind what we all do. I love how every family is so different in how it operates, and it often makes me sad that these differences are judged rather than rejoiced!

Anyway, I'm interested in what everyone's favorite baby things are! Here are mine:

1. Homeopathic Baby Remedies (C+, Colic, Teething)

2. Garlic/Mullein ear oil for ear aches

3. New Mama Tush Soak by Well-in-Hand (DON’T birth without it! Forgive me, but you could ride a horse in week if ya wanted to!) http://www.wellinhand.com/collection...ducts/new-mama

4. Burt’s Bees Diaper Crème (sp?) (Even great for yeasty rashes!)

5. Infant gowns are my favorite clothes of choice for newborns

6. Dritz brand diaper pins

7. Baby backpack, carrier of sorts, and/or sling

8. Nursing cover (Blanket with a loop stitched to go over my neck.)

9. Baby Bjorn potty

10. LANA wool nursing pads (I did hafta get these for my recurring mastitis, and THEY WORK!)

I think you are too kind. Kind people give the people around them a hard time. You can't express yourself honestly, because you are worried about hurting other people's feelings, and that makes you miserable.~"Winter Sonata"

Oh, yea--some kind of nursing pillow--I used my brest friend at first, cause when babies are so small it just has better height and support for me; but from like 4 months on my boppy was with me constantly...in fact when I would get home from work when my son started walking he would bring my boppy to me so I could nurse him, LOL.

oh this might be hard to narrow it down....

1. My breast pump - Greyson didn't latch so I EP instead- hoping this little one does latch
2. Cloth nursing pads (so much better imo than the disposable ones)
3. Side snap shirts- my kid will live in these the first few weeks. Much easier to change these if they have blowouts without pulling them over their heads.
4. cotton pants- again live in these the first few weeks
5. Sleep sacks
6. Sling
7. Mesh underwear-- I took home like 12 pairs of these things with Greyson <3 them and will do the same with this one...

Baby gowns
Sleep sacks
Breast pump
Diaper rash cream (usually don't need it until 6 mos. +)
Nursing pads (I make my own)
Heating pad (for pp cramping and breast pain)
Diaper sprayer (discovered it's perfect as a bidet for pp cleaning in lieu of a sitz bath)
Receiving blankets (for multiple uses)
car seat and stroller of some kind.
Baby carrier (although not all of my babies liked being worn)
Boppy
Pjs/sleep and plays esp. the ones with a zipper. Love those!

ETA - ITA about the mesh panties - swipe several pairs. I found a couple pairs in my bathroom cabinet a few months ago and almost pitched them. Something told me to hang on to them. Glad I did!

I make them out of flannel (old receiving blankets). I do 3 layers. I found a pattern online and sew them on a machine. They're not the most professional looking but they work.

There are a few things that have really come in handy for me. My son would not sleep unless he was being held the whole time as a newborn. I got a nap nanny from Babies R Us and he loved it. Slept like a dream because it is so soft and comforting.

Another must have for the New Year would be for more restaurants, stores and malls to have the bum gun bidet sprayer installed. Now I have got used to it so much I can't stand having to go without. It's such an amazing invention. Toilet paper just doesn't cut it.

1. My boobs
2. Pacifiers
3. Boppy
4. Johnson's nursing pads - cloth won't work cause I leak like crazy >_> (had oversupply issues last time)
5. Baby gowns
6. The perineal spray bottle thing, tucks, epifoam, etc. that the hospital gives you.
7. Old receiving blankets to put under baby in case she leaks / blows out. I loathe EBF poop stains....

The nursing pad thing has befuddled me, as I've seen many say they only can tolerate the sposies. I leaked through them, too! LOL! So I just decided that if I was gonna leak anyway....

Yeah, I leaked through the Lansinoh ones! Johnson's work way better for me.
