I got it really early last time. I remember it at like 16 weeks or something!

This morning, my lower abdomen tightened up so I felt it with my hand and my "bump" was lopsided! There was a tiny baby balled up on that side. I didn't realize that kind of stuff could happen this early.

I've never had a contraction of any kind before labor. I've also never had after pains! My NP once said my body was weird, kinda like me... :/

I don't know if I'd call them braxton hicks, but I'm already getting something that is more than a cramp, but not quite a contraction. I'll be 14 weeks tomorrow. Usually it's because I'm being active and am not drinking enough.

I got told by a doctor once that my uterus is easily irritable. Never had pre-term labor though, so I guess I'm thankful for that.

With DS, I got tons of BH. They just feel like tightening, no pain whatsoever. I didn't feel any contractions with pain until about 38 weeks and those were just intermittent until my water actually broke and labor began.

This might sound strange but...I LIKE BH! I think it feels cool and reminds me of what my body is capable of.

Last time 16 weeks, this time 8 weeks. I have an irritable uterus. Driving sets them off one after another. Its the way I sit or something.

I don't ever recognize "contractions" until I am pretty much about an hour out from giving birth. Before that it feels like mild cramps. So....I would say the earliest I have started feeling the cramping is about 4-5 months along, but usually only if its super hot and I've been active and need more liquids in me. Otherwise....with my 2nd, the last few weeks were full of fun cramping episodes. I suppose they were effective though. I was walking around 4cm dilated, and was nearly a 5 when I got my first "real" contraction....labor was just about 2 hours long.

Oh man, you are so lucky! I had afterbirth pains so horrible they left me curled up on the bed in tears!

I never really had BH with my first, but I have had some this time already. I honestly think I was a tad dehydrated when it happened.

Last time it was sometime in the third trimester. I get cramping now and then now, but I wouldn't call that BH. Usually been overdoing it or something.

I just started getting them last week. It usually happens when I have to pee. I started getting them around the same time with my last pregnancy. I don't have any pain, just tightening. Also, when I haven't had enough fluids i get them more frequently t/o the day. I noticed that when I drink alot, I don't have it.

Mine has been in my upper abdomen. It happened a few times last night as I was trying to fall asleep.
