Do you all remember when we have to do the glucose test? I know there's a window between X and Y weeks, but I can't remember when that window is. I think I've seen ladies on the other DDC getting them around week 26. Is this when it starts? I've got to establish my calendar after the summer, and this is driving me nuts!

Its usually done between 26-28 in FTM and moms with no history of GD. It is usually done earlier in BTDT with a history of GD.

I never had GD but with a family history of diabetes and my age they've tested me early with DD and with this pregnancy. I don't remember if I had to do it again later on. I know it's 20 something weeks but don't remember exactly.

The ladies are correct. 26-28 weeks is generally the time period.

Good luck with that! With my son they tested me at 20 weeks I think after checking for protein in urine. If you didn't have it with your others, I imagine you would be fine.

if it makes you sick, talk to your provider about alternatives. many of my bradley mommas eat x amount of jelly beans, or they will do 8oz of real orange juice (a brand like simple made or something like that) and a waffle with xoz of syrup on it for the same effect on the blood sugar, but not the same effect on the body.

or you can simply track your blood sugars for a few days a glucometer is about $25 at walmart
Oriyan and feythful like this.
