5-1-1 can be so different for so many women. It can be early early labor, or the beginnings of active labor.
But I couldn't even use timing to determine how far I was. My contractions were very very irregular in length and spacing (by 3-5 minutes) because my son was posterior. I had no choice but to go by how hard they were hitting me lol.
That's why I say just listen to your body and trust your gut!
My doctor recommends I go in when the contractions are every 5 minutes for an hour or if your water breaks. We live about an hour away from the hospital without snow or traffic. When labor starts we plan to go get a hotel room close to the hospital so I can try to relax before we get admitted.
we got a hotel when i was in labor with Hunter...it was awesome. we were literally right across the street from the hotel, and didn't leave until I had already felt his head pop out once i highly recommend it!
