Had a panic yesterday while at work. I wasn't feeling good in general and just felt a little off. I felt like I had to pee and started to the bathroom when I felt a gush, SO SCARY! I got in there and it was blood dark red coming out like crazy. I am just over 19 weeks and thought, how in the world could this be happening?!? I soaked up as much as I could with toilet tissue (while beginning to cry hysterically) and got my things and got my butt to the hospital. They checked us out and the baby was moving around fine, fluid looked good, placenta looked good, cervix was closed and long enough still and her heartbeat was 160. My heartbeat wasn't far behind at 127 but it was down to normal before I left after I saw baby. The bleeding slowed quite a bit after the first couple of hours and I've only had one more spurt this morning after #2. But pink on the tissue every time I wipe still.

They sent me home and told me that my OB wanted me to call and come in next week. I'm resting today and am supposed to go back to work tomorrow. They told me to monitor her movements, but I'm not feeling her move much at all, like only one little nudge or two a day so that makes it hard. It's my first though, so that probably is pretty normal.

I am so SCARED still because this is my first, I'm 36 and we did a frozen embryo transfer to get to this point. I so want our little girl to be ok. I can't believe how much love I already have for her!

Please, please pray with me for all to be ok with this little one!

How scary! ((hugs)) Just take it as easy as possible. I've noticed that when I stress out my babies get quiet, so hopefully she wakes up as you calm down. and lots of thoughts and prayers coming your way.

Have you called your OB? I would be demanding to see an actual OB right away (ER is usually general and not a specialist and could have easily missed something). Are you in any pain?

I second what horsegal said, see if you can see OB sooner. I know when I was bleeding the Er didn't explain it to me very well and I left The Ob with a lot more understanding of what was going on. I will say a little prayer for you and hope you can relax a bit.(((hugs)))

((hugs))I agree try to see your ob asap! Also I agree that when your stressed baby stops moving as much. I fell down some stairs on 4th of July and from my fall up until I saw my obgyn my girl didn't move at all. I would say within an hour of going to the dr and knowing everything was ok she was moving again so try not to think too much into the movements! Praying for you!

Sending many prayers!! I agree with the ladies, get in to see your OB as soon as you can, at least for a better understanding of what to expect/look for. Take care of you and your little one!!!

Update- I'm feeling much much better! My OB got me worked in yesterday afternoon over at the high risk Doctor that I've been going to. They checked and also couldn't see any spots where the blood came from so he said whatever it was it seems to have subsided. The baby looked fine moving around in there as usual, good heart rate, placenta looked good and he said my cervix looked great. Also, yesterday as the day went on the spotting got lighter and lighter. He did see some matter floating in the fluid with the baby which he said could have been absorbed through the walls of the sac if the bleed was in the uterus somewhere. I lost a twin at 7 1/2 weeks so it is possible that it could have had something to do with the other sac...Either way the doctor was very positive and encouraging so that was super helpful. He also gave us a sneak peak at a 4D US, she is still a little bony in there so it was kind of freaky, but cool too.

I felt her moving around a lot yesterday when I got home so I am HAPPY about that!!

While at the hospital they put me in the labor and delivery triage unit which is supposed to specialize in pregnancy emergencies. They were all super nice and comforting but the first doctor I saw was a resident and not that experienced, also their equipment was not that great, very surprising for a hospital I thought. (maybe that shows my lack of experience) Also the cold gel sucked after I've gotten spoiled with the warm stuff at the OB and high risk Doc.

Looking back I would have called one of my Doctors before going to the hospital, but they may have told me to go in anyway with the gush of blood I was having. I'm learning that pregnancy can be one of the hardest things any of us ever do in our lives, it is SUCH a blessing and a beautiful gift from God, but hard just the same.

Thanks to everyone for all the beautiful thoughts and prayers! Y'all are GREAT!!
